What is a worship service like?
At Peace, each worship service involves our musicians leading us in singing. We learn from God's Word in a message that lasts about 25-30 minutes. We also give offerings as an act of worship which supports God's work at our church and our community. Lastly, we take the Lord's Supper together often, sharing the body and blood of Jesus as his forgiven family.
What is the music like?
During the 8:30a service, we sing hymns led by the piano and follow the liturgy of the hymnal. The 11a & 6p services are led by a worship team and usually includes a mixture of piano, acoustic guitar, percussion and vocals.
How do people dress?
You'll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our worship services. Peace is not about what you look like or what you wear but instead that you're here worshiping our loving God.
What about my kids?
Bring them! We love them! At Peace we welcome kids in the service but there are also locations to step out if necessary. Our church body feels like a family where the parents and others alike get to know the kids and enjoy their energy. We also offer staffed nursery care (1yo-PreK) at morning services and bible study hour, a Children's Message at both morning services, and Kids Ministry (K-5) at 9:45a.
Can I take Communion?
We welcome everyone to join us as receive the gifts of God during communion! Because Communion is a statement of our unity of faith, we ask that only those who have been baptized, prepared themselves, and share our beliefs receive communion. If our beliefs are new or unfamiliar to you, or you are not prepared to receive communion today, please come forward and cross your arms over your chest to indicate you will not be receiving communion today. And then after the service please speak with the pastor to have a conversation about what we believe and to answer any questions you may have.
