About
Peace is a family of faith that welcomes everyone. While Peace has a members from all demographic ages, a large percentage of Peace members have young families with children. That is why one of the main focuses of Peace is to help and strengthen families. Peace is the daughter of St. Paul Lutheran Church in downtown Ann Arbor, with the first services being held in a rented office location in October, 1993.
The Church
The church was dedicated to the glory of God in October, 2000, on a 14 1/2 acre parcel of land.
Peace is the home of Tyler Steffey field, used by Dexter Little League and Dexter Special Olympics. (The history of Tyler Steffey field is on our Community page)
Legacy Hall
Peace completed the building of a small gym, classrooms, and youth loft to our current facilities in September 2016. This space, called "Legacy Hall," is the home of the Dexter Coop and provides needed space for youth, adult, and family functions and programs. The Dexter Special Olympics Basketball team holds practice in Legacy Hall. Youth meet Sunday evenings at 6:45.

A second adaptive basketball clinic was held later that year. The UMAISE wheelchair basketball team began practices on Monday Evenings in January, 2018. Walker Soccer will begin on Saturdays in April, 2018. The UMAISE summer camp will be held at Peace in August, 2018. Peace will also host Unified Softball with UMAISE again this August. Peace provides the facilities and support for the UMAISE program at no cost to the University or participants. We are glad to welcome all the young adaptive sports athletes and their families to Peace.
