Confirmation 2009

What is the Christian faith all about? What is the Bible and why should I read it? Does following Jesus make a difference in my life? These are only a few of the questions that the 7th and 8th grade confirmation students will address this year.

Confirmation Class – Remaining Class Topics:

• March 4th The Passion (Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion)
• March 11th The Resurrection
• March 18th The Great Commission
• March 25th The Sacraments & Baptism – Final Session with 7th & 8th grades together
• No Class for the Weeks of March 28th (Holy Week) & April 4th (week after Easter)
• April 15th The Lord’s Supper – 8th Grade Only!
• April 22nd Confirmation Review
• April 29th Confirmation Practice & Reading of Statements of Faith
• May 2nd Confirmation Service at 11:00am

Middle School Youth

• March 14th Volleyball here at Peace at 3:00pm. Bring your friends!
• April 25th Ronald McDonald House – meet at Peace at 4:00pm or at the Ronald McDonald house at 4:30pm.

Senior High Youth

Senior High Youth & Parent Dinner & Activity Night - Saturday March 13th from 6-8pm

We’ll enjoy some fellowship and food together. We’ll take care of the main course please bring a salad, side dish, or dessert to share. Sign-up on the bulletin board with the number of people planning to attend so we can prepare the right amount of food. After dinner we’ll have a youth vs. parent’s competition on a variety of games and tasks. We’ll challenge your physical and mental strength and see who comes out on top!

Senior High Youth Winter Jam – Friday, March 26

We’ll attend the year’s biggest concert at Eastern Michigan University’s Convocation Center. The concert features the best in Christian music including Third Day, Newsboys, New Song, Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, and more. The concert is first come first serve for seating and costs just $10. Doors open at 6PM with the pre-show so we’d like to meet at Peace around 4:30PM to carpool together. We’ll have dinner together as we “tailgate” in line. We should return to Peace around 10:30PM. A sign-up sheet will be posted so we can make sure we have enough drivers. Parents, let us know if you can help with the driving.
