“On the Wings of Dawn” April 21st, 9:45am – Laura Edge

Laura Edge, a former member of Peace, has written a book about her father’s POW experiences as a German Prisoner of War. Laura’s Father, Lawrence L. Witt was a US Army Air Force Airman during World War II.
Everyone is invited to come and hear Laura talk about her father’s faith and experiences in a German stalag, and his eventual return to freedom.

Peace Lutheran Church “Town Hall Meeting” April 14th, 9:45am

You are invited, encouraged, and needed to attend a “Peace Town Hall Meeting” on Sunday, April 14th during the Christian Education Hour, starting at 9:45 AM. The goal of this meeting is for the leaders of Peace to talk about goals, concerns and potential plans for the future of Peace. It is also a time for the members and guests who worship at Peace to talk with the elected leaders about hopes and dreams

for the future of Peace. Among the items to be considered at this special gathering are:

• A revision of the constitution and bylaws of Peace
• Creation of a “loft” youth room at Peace
• Church Extension Fund Green Energy Grant & Peace
• Creation of a second Parish Band
• Working on a Master Plan for Peace

New Member Welcome, April 14th

A welcome for those who have recently joined Peace or completed the membership class will be held during both Worship Services on April 14th. At this welcome our new members will make a public confession of their faith and will be introduced to the congregation.

Fit Families Forever

Starting Monday April 16th, Matt Towers will lead a 9-week exercise and nutrition course called "Fit Families Forever". The course will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm. It includes a 25-30 minute lecture/discussion on nutrition and managing positive lifestyle change along with a 60 minute workout. Those interested in coming for the workout only can arrive in time to begin working out at 7:00pm. Those who have struggled with weight loss and are looking for a practical and realistic approach to shedding the extra pounds (and keeping them off FOREVER!) should arrive at 6:30 for the lecture/discussion. The workout can be modified for all ages, shapes and sizes, though you should consult with your physician prior to any new workout regimen. Cost for the course is $150 for an individual, $235 for a couple, or $320 for the whole family (we will provide day care for children under 6, and those 6 or older can join in the workout!). You also have the option to drop in on any session for $10 per session ($15 per couple or $20 per family).

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Dates/Time: Mon-Thurs: July 23-26, 2012 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. A lite dinner will be served each day.
"Chase the Light" will be talking about people who came into contact
with Jesus. Children will be learning how lives were changed when
Jesus, the Light of the world, stepped in and brought them from

Summer Gathering

In the past, the Home Builder’s summer get together has been a camp out at a nearby campground. This year the group has decided to go to Grand Haven, Michigan for three 3 days and 2 nights, staying at the

Serendipity Resort, August 23rd-August 25th (Thursday-Saturday). The resort consists of individual suites with kitchenettes that back up to a common grilling area with a large swimming pool, less than a mile from Lake Michigan. Preschool T-ball League

Pastor Courson is the league commisioner for this popular introduction to t-ball for preschoolers. The league will start toward the end of August and include t-shirts, practice and team play. All welcome, contact Peace to register.
